Waterberg Estate

A big five wildlife estate development of 820 units located on a land assembly of 4 seperate game farms totaling 5200 Ha. This development consists of a wide range of residential and recreational land uses including a hotel, private game lodges, wildlife estate properties, etc. as well as golf coarse, equestrian estate and various eco-tourism uses such as game-viewing, lookout points, walking trails, bird hides, etc. Urban Dynamics was resposible for town planning and layout design services only.

Steyn City

Urban Dynamics Gauteng Inc. is proud to announce that it is part of a team of consultants appointed to realise a bold and visionary mixed use estate development at River Glen, north of Fourways. The development covers approximately 700 Ha of land. It is situated immediately to the north of Dainfern Estate, East of Chartwell North and west of William Nicol Drive between William Nicol Drive and Cedar Road.

The total project has a capacity of some 11 000 residential units with the full spectrum of supportive land uses to establish a secure and balanced lifestyle. The existing project is not only unique due to its sheer size, but the impressive contribution that it will make towards regional bulk services upgrading to provincial and metropolitan roads, municipal sewers and bulk water supply. These bulk upgradings will help to unlock services for many other developments in the sub-region including Diepsloot East, Tanganani, Riversands and the City of Joburg’s own G ...

Southdowns Estate

The establishment of a unique residential estate of 750 residential units incorporating the 100 year old Irene Dairy Farm and 80 year old Irene Golf Club into one security precinct. It included designing residential properties fronting the farm, agriclutural pastures, the Hennops River and the Irene Golf Course. This high income development involved detailed land use right uinvestigations, urban design, environmental design and landscape planning. It is hailed as one of the most successfully marketed security estates in South Africa. The project extended post approval to include a regional shoppinf centre, private school (Southdowns College), Art center (with commercial theater and art facilities for the school) and boutique hotel.

The final phase of this project is currently being planned and should be released to the market late 2011.

Savanna City

Urban Dynamics Gauteng was involved in the feasibility, concept development and town planning applications relating to the proposed Savanna City project in Midvaal.

The R7,8bn contract signed between Old Mutual Investment Group SA (OMIGSA) and Basil Read Developments, in March 2008, will deliver a project over approximately nine years. The project will offer prospective buyers a wide price range of houses - from around R260 000 to over R1m. Cosmopolitan Housing (Pty.) Ltd has also committed to the project and specifically the provision of a variety of bonded housing products.

The township establishment application and phasing wasapproved and the environmental authorization (ROD) obtained. Klipriver Business Park

Klipriver Business Park is an industrial and commercial development situated at the intersection of the Randvaal Road and R59 Highway, Gauteng Province. The development’s strategic location between the Johannesburg, the East Rand and Vereeniging allows for excellent exposure and access along the R59 Midvaal Industrial Corridor and will represent the northern entrance to the Midvaal Industrial corridor. The development consists of four quadrants which are developed as industrial estates with a gated access. The township application was approved to includes 127ha of industrial land in the 210ha development so each quadrant allows for the provision of retail as well as commercial land usage.

The development is guided by town planning and architectural design guidelines and the approved layout plan was based on a range of design principles such as it being developed as a singe Business Park, supportive land uses provided, a focus on public transport and pedestrian move ...

Jeddah Hills

An Urban design framework for the Jeddah New City including an area of 22 000 Ha and a long term development capacity of over 20 000 people. The prject was completed as a land release strategy and involved the analysis of the develpment and design principles of Emaar properties in Dubai and applying best practice design principles to local conditions in Jeddah.

Ilha Xefina Gande

Town Planning and Urban Design for a 150 Ha resort development on an island located 3km from the Costa da Sol ("Sunshine Coast") of Mocabique. This project included the incorporation of this historic Portuguese Prison Island into the City Limits of Maputo, facilitating, through project management for detailed hydrological investigations and mritime studies to construct a 3km causeway, large scale dredging to allow for the development of a small craft harbour and waterfront, the planning and design of a hotel, casino, resort, championship golf coarse and a range of residential development option such as the med holiday cabana's, apartments and villas.
