Urban Dynamics was appointed by Frankenwald Development (Pty) Ltd to undertake a spatial planning process according to City of Johannesburg Guidelines to prepare an Urban Development Framework (UDF) for the land holding known as ‘Frankenwald’ which is owned by the University of the Witwatersrand. The UDF will set out a framework and guidelines for the development of Frankenwald and will be adopted as a City of Johannesburg planning policy once approved by Council.

A hard copy of the report is also available for inspection during normal office hours from 8 July to 9 August 2020 at the City of Johannesburg, Region E Customer Care Centre, 1st Floor, Building 1, 137 Daisy Street, Sandown, Sandton.
Members of the public are invited to register as an Interested and Affected Party in order to be kept abreast of the spatial planning process and its outcomes, be given an opportunity to comment, and inspect the reports that will document the Frankenwald UDF. If you would like to be notified of the availability of reports and have the opportunity to comment, please register your interest by providing your name, contact details (including an email address) to Urban Dynamics Gauteng Inc. at the contact details provided below, before 9 August 2020. Please note that this opportunity to comment does not include comments on the Frankenwald Environmental Process, which is being conducted as a separate process.
