As part of this year’s 16 Days of Activism of No Violence Against Woman and Children, the MEC for Gauteng Local Government and Housing, Humphrey Mmemezi, approached us to assist with support for 2 orphaned sisters, Olinda and Edna Mentor in Mogale City. Jean-Luc Limacher arranges our on-going charitable contribution which includes a bursary for Olinda in Grade 12 and Edna in Grade 4. Our assistance also included repairs to their home such as burglar bars, painting, tiling, electrical rewiring, fixing plumbing problems, fencing the yard and by supplying household appliances, beds and clothing.
As a result of our involvement in the development of Palm Ridge Ext 9, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality requested us to assist a destitute, aging and mentally ill resident. Tshukudu Mopeli from Urban Dynamics Gauteng and his team assisted in the reconstruction of Mr. Radebe’s shack then purchased various household items such as a bed, mattress, bedding, cutlery, kitchen appliances and supplied him with groceries. To date the support totals around R15 000.
Urban Dynamics assisted a community-based health NGO with the establishment of a Natural Birth Centre, Clinic and Training Centre on a farm in Elandsdrift. This project will commence in the near future.

We were approached to assist the City of Tshwane to complete the construction of 10 houses in Mabopane that Tshwane took over from the North West Province. Again, we did this as part of our Corporate Social Investment Programme.
In support of an initiative to assist 12 homeless families in the Alexandra Urban Renewal Project, we contributed 50% of our professional fees for this community based project on Erf 3729 Far East Bank Ext 2.
On 3 October 2011 a tornado damaged some 1500 homes in Duduza. Our company is one of a handful of construction companies directly approached by ANC that answered the call to assist with the reconstruction of damaged houses. We are currently completely rebuilding 30 houses as part of our Corporate Social Investment Programme.
The Duduza CSI Initiative not only involved the reconstruction of damaged houses but also included the reinstallation of services such as sewerage infrastructure.
The company assisted the Nehemiah Pre Schools Education Ministry with a 100% charitable contribution of Professional Fees for the purpose of developing a crèche.
The Mayor of Tshwane approached us to assist with the rebuilding of a new house to replace one that was erroneously built on a sewer line. This charitable contribution was completed in October 2011.
